There are three commitments we require that our clients make if they are to conduct an effective Team Member Opinion Survey:
- It must be CONFIDENTIAL;
- It must be VOLUNTARY; and
- There must be a commitment to show all employees the survey results and enlist their participation in developing written Action Plans for improving selected scores.
CONFIDENTIALITY: Our surveys are conducted on-line. There is no way that we - nor anyone else - can track individual responses. The fact is, we are interested in the themes of responses.
VOLUNTARY: Do not make participation in an employee opinion survey mandatory. First, it annoys people and secondly, doing so will invalidate the utility of any responses you get. We are interested in learning how many people actually participate and how many people choose not to.
FOLLOW UP MEETINGS: Follow through is critical. The Results Rule is: NEVER ask anyone for input unless you tell them what you did with their input. When the TMOS results are available, it is critical that Supervisors sit down with their respective subordinates and engage them in discussion and action planning about selected scores. Failure to do so will undermine employee trust in their leadership and promote a "why bother?" response in the future.
Pricing For Team Member Opinion Surveys (As Of January 1, 2010) Is As Follows:
NUMBER OF EMPLOYEES: $Fee
- 10 or less: $350
- 11 – 25: $450
- 26 – 50: $550
- 51 – 75: $650
- 76 – 100: $750
- 101 – 150: $850
- 151 – 200: $950
- 201 – 300: $1500
- More than 301 people: contact our office for the fee.
If you wish to conduct a “baseline” (first time) survey, then repeat it within 12 months to see whether you and your team are making progress, we can make that happen for an additional $150.
