Transfer of College Credit
The transferability of college credit is always at the discretion of the accepting educational institution. As an example, the course number assigned by Clackamas Community College to The Sergeants’ Academy is LE 103. The LE stands for Law Enforcement and falls under the category of professional/technical credit in Oregon’s community college system. It has been our experience that most colleges and universities accept professional/technical credit courses in transfer. Some colleges may limit the number of credits transferred in this category (for example a maximum of 12 credits are accepted in transfer) and may also limit the number of courses with pass/no pass grades that are accepted in transfer. The LE 103 course is offered for a pass/no pass grade. The college always recommends that students check directly with their transfer college on the transferability of a specific course.
