COURSE CREDITS & CERTIFICATION
The Executive Academy The Executive Academy can be applied toward maintenance credits through Oregon (DPSST) and also qualifies for 48 (or 40, depending upon the Academy you attend) elective hours through Oregon (DPSST) and, Idaho (POST), Nevada (POST), Montana (POST), Wyoming (POST), Utah (POST) or Washington (CJTC). The Executive Academy can also be used for your required credits for the Middle Management and Executive certificates in Oregon. We are pleased to have secured reciprocity for our leadership and management training among and between those state agencies. For example, officers from Idaho who attend The Executive Academy in Oregon, Washington or Nevada get Idaho POST credit for attendance.
The Sergeants’ Academy The Sergeants’ Academy training hours can be used to meet the following requirements through Oregon (DPSST): Up to 40 hours toward the required 80 hours of supervisory classes for your basic supervision certificate. The other 40 hours must be obtained through DPSST’s required course at the Academy. However, you do have the option of filling out a form requesting equivalency in order to use The Sergeants' Academy in lieu of attending the Academy course. The Sergeants' Academy also can be used for DPSST maintenance credit requirements; and/or 48 elective hours toward any management certification. The Sergeants’ Academy also qualifies for elective hours through Idaho (POST), Nevada (POST), Montana (POST, Wyoming (POST), Utah (POST) or Washington (CJTC). We are pleased to have secured reciprocity for our leadership and management training among and between those state agencies. For example, officers from Oregon who attend The Sergeants’ Academy in Nevada, Washington, Montana or Idaho get DPSST credit for attendance.
The Public Information Officer & Line Employee Academy The Public Information Officers' Academy and The Line Employees' Academy each qualify for 24 hours of credit.
